cef.up governing bodies are:
(i) Board of Directors, which is a body of seven members – the Director, two Deputy Directors and four Principal Investigators.
(ii) Scientific Council, which is composed of all Integrated and Juniors researchers; it is the Center sovereign body.
(iii) External Advisory Board, which is an advisory body that is charged with the mission of assessing the center annual activity plan and report, as well as indicating directions for the center future development.

As of November 23, 2021, the Board of Directors is composed of the following members: Manuel M. F. Martins (Director), Amélia Brandão and Pedro Mazeda Gil (Deputy Directors), Ana Isabel Sá, Diogo Lourenço, Eduardo Oliveira and Pedro Neves (Principal Investigators).

The External Advisory Board has the following members: Francis Kramarz, CREST – Centre de Recherche en Économie et Statistique (France), Lawrence Kryzanowski, Senior Concordia University Research Chair in Finance, Concordia University (Canada), Vincenzo Quadrini, University of Southern California (United States of America), John Antonakis, University of Lausanne, HEC (Switzerland).
