BRIEF BIO
Vera Rocha is Assistant Professor in Economics and Management of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Copenhagen Business School since September 2017. She finished her PhD in Economics in 2014 at University of Porto, and was distinguished with a prize by PricewaterhouseCoopers for the best PhD thesis in Economics and Management in Portugal. Afterwards, she joined the former department of Innovation and Organizational Economics at CBS for a PostDoc in Economics of Entrepreneurship.
Her main research interests include the dynamics of new ventures, strategic human capital, and entrepreneurial careers. She has been studying the antecedents and consequences of entrepreneurship, often using matched employer-employee data for Portugal and Denmark. Vera has also done research on Higher Education topics and International Business. Her work has been published in the Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management Studies, Organizational Research Methods, International Journal of Industrial Organization, International Business Review, Public Administration Review, among other outlets.
