BRIEF BIO

Ricardo Biscaia is an assistant professor at the School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto and an associate researcher at CIPES. He holds a PhD in Economics since January 2014, with a thesis on Location Theory. Previously, Ricardo worked at the University of Aveiro; at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto; and at Portucalense University.

His main research interests are in the fields of Higher Education Policies, Public Policy, Industrial Economics and Regional and Urban Economics. Some of his work has been published in several Journals, such as Public Administration Review, Papers in Regional Science, Applied Economics, Higher Education, Studies in Higher Education or Cambridge Journal of Economics, among other outlets in the fields of Economics and Higher Education.
