BRIEF BIO
Mário Macedo Marques is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Porto (FEP.UP). He holds a PhD in Accounting and a degree in Management from University of Minho.
His current areas of research and teaching focus on business taxation and finance. His research work has been published in journals such as Journal of the American Taxation Association, Accounting and Business Research, Journal of International Accounting, Auditing and Taxation, FinanzArchiv (Public Finance Analysis).

Taxation and investment decisions; Income shifting; Tax shifting, Tax compliance and complexity; Tax evasion and tax avoidance; Effects of anti-tax avoidance rules; Cultural legitimacy of harmful tax practices; Taxation and social/economic inequalities; Corporate social responsibility and aggressive tax planning.
