BRIEF BIO
Maria João Barros is a Doctoral Student in Business and Management Studies – Branch of Marketing and Strategy at Universidade do Porto (FEP, U.Porto). She has a Master degree (2011) in International Economics and Management from the Universidade do Porto (FEP, U.Porto), a Master degree (2009) in History, International Relations and Cooperation from the Universidade do Porto (FLUP.U.Porto) and a First degree (2007) in European Studies from the Universidade do Porto (FEP, U.Porto).
Her research interests are in entrepreneurship and in the influence of culture in management. Her academic pursuits are linked to her professional career, as she has been working in the areas of investment support (for 4 years) and international relations (for 15 years) at the City Council of Maia, Portugal.
