BRIEF BIO

PhD in Business Administration from University of Minho (Portugal). Master in Business Sciences and MBA from the ISEE-UP and BA in Psychology, in the area of work and organizational psychology from the University of Porto. Associate Professor at the School of Economics, from University of Porto. Member of the Scientific Council of the bachelor’s in Management and Master in Commercial Management from the School of Economics. Visiting professor teaching executive and graduate courses, including PhD short courses for the Porto Business School, Gdansk Foundation for Management Development (2021), Faculty of Economics of University of Ljubljana (2017); INSEEC Business School (2017), ICN Business School (2016), IESEG School of Management (2015). Consultant to several institutions in the field of International Human Resource Management. Developed her professional activity in the field of Human Resource Management, particularly in the international context, at Sonae Industria and Sonae SGPS (a Portuguese conglomerate). Presently, she is affiliate of the American Academy of Management (AOM), the European Academy of Management (EURAM), the American Psychological Association (APA) and Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses (OPP) . She has co-authored several publications in peer-reviewed journals, such as the Journal of Vocational Behavior, Organizational Dynamics, Higher Education, Small Business Economics, The International Journal of Human Resource Management, the International Journal of Intercultural Relations, Personnel Review including the book Managing International Assignments (2009). Since 2013, she is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Global Mobility (JGM) from Emerald, and ad hoc reviewer for several academic publications. She was granted the OB Outstanding Best Reviewer Award at the 75th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (2015).
