BRIEF BIO
Kevin Nell is a Full Professor of Economics at the University of Johannesburg, School of Economics. He obtained his PhD in economics from the University of Kent (United Kingdom) in 2000. He has held academic positions at the Catholic University (Porto, Portugal) and Utrecht University School of Economics (Netherlands), a visiting position at the University of Kent, and is a research member of the Center for Economics and Finance, University of Porto (CEF.UP). His research interests cover various topics in macroeconomic issues related to developing countries, such as cross-country growth regressions and convergence, premature deindustrialization, inflation, money supply endogeneity, capital accumulation, technological progress and exchange rate policy. His work has been widely published in international journals.
