BRIEF BIO
José Carlos Tavares is currently a PhD candidate in Business and Management Studies (Finance) at FEP – School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto. He holds a degree in Economics and Master Course in Accounting also from FEP.
He is an invited Professor of Financial Instruments in Higher Institute of Business Economic Sciences (Cabo Verde).
Currently he is CEO of second biggest company in Automobiles sector in Cabo Verde. He held several positions in Cape Verde, General Director of Treasure at Ministry of Finance (2016-2017), Coordinator of exchange rate parity agreement between Cabo Verde and Portugal (2016-2017), Fiscal Council Chairman at Airport and Safety (2013-2016), Member and Co-Alternative Coordinator of Budgetary and Monetary Committee at Ministry of Finance and Central Bank (2012-2017), Director of State Financial Operations Service at Ministry of Finance (2012-2016) and Financial Analyst in Stock Exchange (2008-ago.2012)
