BRIEF BIO
Conrado Diego García-Gómez is Associate Professor of Finance at University of Valladolid (Spain). He holds a PhD and a MsC in Business Economics from the University of Burgos (Spain). His thesis dissertation, entitled “Three essays on corporate risk taking and corporate governance in an international financial crisis context”, received the highest qualification “summa cum laude”. He has been visiting professor at Louvain School of Management – Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium), IAE Bayonne – Université de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour (France), and Faculdade de Economia – Universidade de Coimbra (Portugal). He has also been visiting researcher at Faculdade de Economia – Universidade de Porto (Portugal), and Faculty of Social Sciences – Universidad Nacional del Altiplano (Peru). He has been part of the research team of competitive national and European research projects. His teaching experience includes undergraduate, graduate, master and doctoral courses in corporate finance, corporate governance and fundamentals of finance. Besides, he has been Academic Secretary of the Faculty of Business and Labour Studies for the period 2020-2022 (University of Valladolid) and is currently head of Departmental section.
He serves as Associate Editor in Humanities and Social Sciences Communications – Nature. His research has been published in top referred academic journals such as Research in International Business and Finance, Finance Research Letters, The European Journal of Finance, Eurasian Business Review, Business Research Quarterly, European Journal of International Management, Tourism Management, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management, and Tourism Economics.
