BRIEF BIO
Bruno Maia Cavalcante is currently performing his PhD in Management with specialization in Finance at Faculty of Economics (FEP) of the University of Porto. He holds a Master´s degree in Applied Economics at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), focused on quantitative methods, and a Bachelor´s degree in Economics at Federal University of Ceará (UFC). He has background in micro and macroeconometrics focused on time series forecast and his research interest is in International Finance and Banking.
Professionally he has 15+ years of relevant experience as Economist: in the Financial Market, as Macroeconomic Research Analyst at Unibanco Asset Management; in Pension Fund, as Senior Economist at FUNCEF; in Multinational Enterprise, as Chief Economist in Brazil at CEIC Data; in the Manufacturing Industry, as Head of Foreign Trade and International Economic Research at FIESP; in the Public Sector, as Senior Economist at Government of Ceará/Brazil.
