cef.up sponsors the PhD program in Economics at the Faculdade de Economia (UP), since it was first created in 1998.

cef.up’s researchers are responsible for most courses. The center is itself responsible for two courses: Advanced Economic Analysis and History of Economic Thought.

Advanced Economic Analysis is a second-year course of the PhD program in Economics. Course contents include state-of-the-art tools for both micro and macroeconomics, as well as for policy modeling. The course is organized as colection of topics that vary from one academic year to the next. Each topic is lectured by visiting professors of internationaly recognized merit
