BRIEF BIO
Maria Eduarda Silva is an Associate Professor with habilitation at School of Economics and Management, University of Porto, obtained her PhD and Master degrees in Statistics at the University of Manchester and graduated in Applied Mathematics at the Faculty of Sciences.
She is Director of the Master in Data Analytics and General Secretary of the Federation of the National Statistical Societies. She shas served as President of the Portuguese Statistical Society, as Member of the Board of Regents of the Faculty of Economics, as deputy president of Department of Applied Mathematics, as Member of Scientific Board of the Doctoral Program in Applied Mathematics, Member of Scientific Board of MSc in Statistics, Member of Scientific Board of BSc in Applied Mathematics.
She has been teaching curricular units in statistics, time series and forecasting at undergraduate, master and PhD courses. She has advised more than 30 MSc dissertations and 10 PhD thesis.
She has authored more than 60 referred papers, (ISI and Scopus) in international journals and conference proceedings.

Non-linear time series, Time series of counts, Long-memory, Time series classification/clustering, Economic, Financial, Environmental, Geophysics and Biomedical applications.
