BRIEF BIO
Paulo Guimarães is an invited full professor at the Faculdade de Economia do Porto (FEP) and is the Director of the Microdata Laboratory of the Banco de Portugal (BPLIM).
He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of South Carolina and has published in leading economic journals such as Journal of Urban Economics, Review of Economics and Statistics, American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics, Journal of Industrial Economics, Journal of Regional Science, Oxford Economic Papers, The Econometrics Journal, The Journal of Economic Geography and the International Journal of Industrial Organization. He has also published several articles in the Stata journal.
