BRIEF BIO
Natalia Doré is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of Porto, Portugal. She obtained her MBA (Management) and a 5-year Bachelor degree (Engineering) in Brazil. Her main research interests cover Economic Growth, Convergence, Development, Public Policies, and Emergent Economies. She is presently working on her Ph.D. thesis (Economic growth and convergence in the very long-time span: The case of emergent economies with a focus on Brazil) under the supervision of Prof. Drª Aurora Teixeira. She is motivated by trying to understand the backwardness of developing countries in general and Brazil in particular.
