BRIEF BIO
Elena Sochirca Neves holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Porto and is currently an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics of University of Porto. She has extensive teaching experience in the fields of microeconomics, macroeconomics and economic growth across undergraduate, master’s, and PhD programs. Her research focuses on economic growth, income inequality, innovation, public policies and political institutions. Her work has been presented at numerous international scientific conferences and published in scientific journals such as International Journal of Production Economics, Economic Modelling, Journal of Policy Modelling, and World Economy. In addition to her research and teaching, Elena serves as a regular referee for several international scientific journals.
